- Dear friends,
my name’s Luca Palmieri. I’m thirteen and I go to a secondary school focusing on sciences and technologies. I’m in the first school year. The school’s name is “Staninslao Cannizzaro” and it’s in Colleferro, my town. I have lived here since I was born, although I was born in Rome At ….. the hospital.
The subjects that we study are: Science, Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Math, Geometry, Italian, English, Art history, Religion, History and Geography. I love scientific subjects!
I’m in 1st A Lst, or Science and Technology high school. I specify because in my school there is also a technical school, with courses of studies of Chemistry, Electronics and Mechanics.
During my free time I go to basketball training. I have been practicing basketball for six years. Before I practiced swimming. I admit that I'm not very good at playing basketball, but I love this sport! The team where I am is “A.S.D. Colleferro Basket” that stands for “Amateur Sport Team Colleferro Basket”.
This year we have been upgraded to Excellence League, which is higher than that we were an year ago.
Colleferro, my town, isn't old. It is very young. It is about seventy years old. It isn't a “green” town. There aren't big parks. It is an industrial town. Its position is strategical: it is in a plain, near a river ( that it is very polluted, unfortunately ) and near Rome. My town has also a railway and motorway that connect it to Rome. I don't love Colleferro... but it's my town e now I live here and I think that I will be here for a lot of years more.
Physically I'm quite tall and quite thin. I've got brown eyes and brown hair. I've got short hair, but I want to grow it. I always dress down. I love T-shirts and jeans. My favourite cloths’ colours are white and dark.
I think that I am nice and I like staying with other people.

Elba Island: My School Trip
I'm here to tell you about my experience during the Elba Island School Trip.
We left Colleferro 6 days ago ( 28 / 04 / 2008 ) by bus. There were two different groups. Our group was composed by us, IIB Lst, IIB. Every group had a bus, so we didn't see often the other students.
Our target was Elba Island, near Tuscany, in Italy. We arrived to Piombino, a port, where we took a ferry-boat to the island, after five hours of travel. The navy cross last an hour and we get to Portoferra… Continue

Defeat
Only twelve of us could play. Our physical education teacher chose Costanza Moffa as team coach. She selected the best players according to her opinion.... But we lost 2 - 0. The result could be less crushing if all the 12 could play, but only 7/8 had this chance.

An interesting morning....
At the first it appeared like a common mondays: school, basketball training and others....
But it wasn't like that, because that Monday we disputed an important basketball match versus the other high school of Collferro: Guglielmo Marconi's school.
The expectations weren't good: we hadn't some of the most strong players but the match couldn't stand over.
